Painted Prayer

Create your own color palette while reflecting on a scripture or a positive affirmation. This class will calm the senses and focus on blending color, use shapes or designs in your expressive painting. Let your prayer pour out in color and shapes. Think of this workshop as a tool in your faith toolbox.
No artistic experience needed.

Enjoy learning something new or for the seasoned artist, add to your knowledge the many characteristics of painting. I will provide all the materials, however you are welcome to bring whatever supplies you have.
Thru this introduction to 0il painting , you may find your hidden talent and be inspired to learn more. Painting is so rewarding and a stress reliever. Join me in this relaxing afternoon of painting.

Treat yourself to an exploration of your creative side.
Beginners will focus on color mixing, composition and application.
Intermediate students will be guided to build on their technique and work toward their own artistic voice.
I allow the student to choose his or her medium of choice to work in, either acrylic or oil, and will be working from their own photo or reference. Each student will have guided instruction from me to help them achieve their goals.

Through the process of expressive art, this class opens the way to release painful emotions and blocked energy. This is a structured approach of guided excercises are designed to encourage the release of stress and grief.
